Women in Information Technology

Penn State Women in Technology (WIT) is a community of University IT professionals who support, empower, and guide each other to achieve success. The organization provides access to meaningful programming, activities, and guidance that inspire confidence, creativity, and a sense of community.

Penn State Women in Technology aspires to strengthen University IT by creating a diverse membership group to support, empower, and guide women in technology to invigorate a satisfying work experience.

Mission

Our commitment is to develop and maintain an interactive, diverse, and supportive network for women working in University IT. We strive to help each other achieve our own version of success by offering unique content and supportive connections that encourage us to think broadly, develop leadership potential, and grow personally and professionally. We listen to each other, respond, and adapt to expressed needs.

Mentorship

Check out IT Connects! Mentorship opportunities are available through the Penn State IT Mentors Program. Their program focuses on matching goal-oriented IT staff with experienced colleagues from across our University community to share knowledge and develop leadership skills within a structured mentoring relationship.
